Not comparing yourself is so important! Nothing good ever comes from it!

Definitely. Just a shame it often comes too easily.

I can so relate to this topic. I’ve been on the other side of rock bottom so…

However, the hardest thing to me for finding happiness was leaving the past behind.

It can be difficult to leave things in the past, but sometimes it’s the only way.

One of the best quotes I heard was “comparison is the thief of joy.”

That’s so true and it definitely helps to put things in perspective.

I do all this, Candice, and listen to reggae music, as well! Then, my life is sorted.

Accept and love who you are is spot on! Each and every one of us is perfect in many ways and we don’t even realize it. Thanks for the reminders!

These are excellent reminders. I struggle with all of these hints and it’s always good to continue reading helpful hints like these to find happiness in everything.

Oh my gosh! I love this!!! I’m going to save it to read in days that are a bit harder finding happiness. I sometimes get stuck in “go” mode and can’t see anything until what I need done is done. I need to be more realistic, that’s for sure! Thank you so much for this post!!!

What a great read, I love the points you make, especially in relation to not comparing yourself to others. I think we take too much for granted, we need to strip it back & make it simple. Be happy to be alive & healthy, a privilege denied to many and go from there.

I love this post. Your headings are spot on and such a great reminder. It is so easy to compare ourselves but we are only hurting ourselves. Thank you.

I agree with all of this. In the past few years, I have put all these practices in place, because I knew I wanted more joy in the moment out of our lives. Once my mom passed (suddenly, almost 2 years ago), I knew that I needed to make a change so that I could learn to appreciate each day and show each person in my life how I appreciate them. That started with me. I had to clean up some of my own doubts, so that I could walk into purpose and happiness. Thanks for a gentle reminder.

Hi Candice – I loved this post and it reflects so much positivity, which we both endorse! I loved the photos too and you offer some great tips such as “don’t compare yourself to others,” “do your best,” etc which are my mantras.

    Thank you for sharing it!

Gratitude/contentment and self-love, these are key to making any individual happy and in harmony with external influence. I enjoy thanking God for the blessings, share quality time with my loved ones, and watch some cartoons/Japanese anime’s…it really does the trick.

Great tips. Many forget self-care, especially parents and other caregivers.
